HIS HISTORY
He was jobless for three years after graduating with Diploma in Irrigation Engineering. This pushed him to settle for menial jobs. In 1995, He found himself working at a mine in Tanzania, one of the hardest and roughest times of his life. Being a miner is not easy. You can imagine digging a dusty terrain for hours on end and not finding the elusive precious stone. It meant not getting paid that day. He couldn’t bare the suffering anymore.
He quit and moved back to Dar-es-salam

He was not successful and finally decided to switch and pursue journalism. So in 1997, He joined Tanzania School of Journalism with his parents’ support. He was determined to achieve his childhood dream, to be a journalist at BBC. He wrote stories on anything that was happening in and around school, and posted his articles on the notice board. Before joining BBC he was at Radio Tanzania as a scriptwriter and for a whole year, He was not allowed to touch a microphone. He literally saw the studio through the windows. However, Radio Tanzania nurtured and moulded him to who he is today, He said in one of his stories.
